Winery Description: Quilceda Creek is a family-owned winery in Snohomish, Washington, dedicated exclusively to producing world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. Founded in 1978 by Alex and Jeannette Golitzin, it was the 12th bonded winery in Washington State post-Prohibition. Drawing inspiration from Alex's uncle, renowned Napa Valley winemaker André Tchelistcheff, the Golitzins aimed to craft exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon reflective of Washington's unique terroir. Over the years, Quilceda Creek has achieved remarkable acclaim, earning multiple 100-point ratings from esteemed wine critics, a testament to their commitment to quality and meticulous winemaking practices. The winery sources grapes from esteemed vineyards in the Horse Heaven Hills and Red Mountain AVAs, including their own Galitzine and Mach One vineyards, ensuring consistency and excellence in every bottle. Today, under the leadership of their son, Paul Golitzin, Quilceda Creek continues to set the standard for premium Cabernet Sauvignon in the United States.
