Winery Description: Vineyard 36 is a distinguished Napa Valley winery founded by former NHL players Cam Ward and Tim Gleason, alongside vintner Jason Earnest. The name "Vineyard 36" reflects the combination of Ward's jersey number 30 and Gleason's number 6 from their time with the Carolina Hurricanes. Established with a vision to craft exceptional wines, the winery collaborates with esteemed winemaker Keith Emerson to produce limited-production wines that showcase the diversity of Napa Valley's premier vineyards. Sourcing grapes from renowned sites such as Beckstoffer's Georges III Vineyard in Rutherford and Oakville Ranch in Oakville, Vineyard 36 focuses on varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Their portfolio includes notable wines such as "Black Aces," "The Foundation," and "Five Bands," each reflecting the founders' dedication to excellence and their passion for winemaking. Tastings are available by appointment, offering enthusiasts an intimate experience with these meticulously crafted wines.
