Winery Current Owner: Jim Knighton and Ann Innes
Winery Description: Perched between 1,000 and 1,500 feet on the steep slopes of Mt. St. Helena, Knighton Family Vineyards occupies one of Napa Valley's most dramatic and challenging terrains. The 50-acre estate, bisected by Jericho Creek, features rocky volcanic soils and ancient landslide deposits, contributing to the production of intensely flavored grapes. Known for its limited-production, mountain-grown Cabernet Sauvignon, the winery emphasizes quality over quantity, with annual releases typically around 300 cases. Their flagship wine, the Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, has garnered critical acclaim, including a 96-point rating from Antonio Galloni for the 2019 vintage. While not open to the public, Knighton Family Vineyards offers its wines through a mailing list and select local establishments, providing a unique expression of Napa Valley's rugged northeastern frontier.

While WineRelease is a passion project for us, we extend an invitation to wineries to join our "winery mailing list" page, providing an opportunity to expand their list of subscribers. Additionally, wineries can opt to "sponsor" WineRelease, showcasing their listings and wines in a distinctive red format for increased visibility. If you're interested in either of these opportunities or wish to advertise on WineRelease, please email us at contactATWineRelease.com. Replace "AT" with "@" in the email address.
