Spent a day in Reims, Champagne and started the day at Veuve Clicquot.
The steps to descend down to the Champagne caves.

Veuve Clicquot caves are massive and perfectly temperature controlled.
Veuve Clicquot cave walls are soft clay and can easily be scraped.
Our tour guide shines a flashlight to show the yeast in the bottle and explains the process of riddling rack.
The riddling rack was invented by Madame Clicquot and is used by a riddler to turn the bottles twice daily to slowly move the sediment to the neck of the bottle.

We had lunch at Pommery and for 75 euros and tasted three Champagnes and had a wonderful lunch.
