WineRelease.com's February 15, 2011 Monthly Newsletter.
Greetings from WineRelease.com, now 1,704 winery listings strong!
Big issue as we cross 1,700 wineries now listed and over 80 winery updates this month...
Winter here in California has given us an incredible few weeks of weather and allowed us to enjoy some of the delicious summer wines from Wine Releases sponsors, including Surfriders 2008 Edna Valley Sauvignon Blanc, which has turned out to be a very nice pairing with our latest culinary creation, a beet ceviche with champagne vinaigrette, avocado and grapefruit, on a bed of red quinoa.
Our cool San Francisco nights have generated a series of paella dinners with friends (the perfect dish with so many wines). The current house favorite is Dares (of Viader) 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon. Rich, berry-filled flavors that are the epitome of a perfect Napa Cab. Last week, we also took a bottle of Dare to Frascati, a great little restaurant in our neighborhood, perfectly paired with their braised octopus salad. Viader has been a longtime sponsor of WineRelease and we appreciate their support over the years, as well as sincerely enjoy their delicious wines.
As a cold front moves into the West Coast this, were joining the rest of the country in real winter, and planning even more paella dinners. Wed like to thank all of the sponsors who bring you WineRelease each month.
Attention wineries: If you would like to find out more about our sponsorship program (where we are currently accepting wine), the details are attached.
And now, for the wine......
