Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!
Big news, I got engaged. She is fantastic, I never thought I would have so much in common and find someone more perfect for me. She shares my love of wine, food and good humor.
The proposal went off perfectly. We planned a dinner up in Napa on a Tuesday night and my buddy Dave (K&L Wines) and his wife Joyce (The Henry Wine Group) were staying at Terra Valentine for the night celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary and invited us to join them. We stopped at my brothers house in Napa and I went into the chicken coop, grabbed an egg and put the ring under the egg. Chrissie then walked in behind me and I told her to gather eggs while I feed the chickens. She grabbed the last egg and wondered what the shiny ring was. I grabbed it, got on one knee, and proposed. She happily accepted and we drove up and met Joyce and Dave and had a great bbq and Champagne. We plan to get married at my brothers new home in Napa in October. Yea!
