Winery Description: Carini Winery was founded in 2000 by Andrew Carini, a Port Washington, Wisconsin native with a deep-rooted passion for winemaking. Andrew's journey into the wine industry began after relocating to California, where he worked in the restaurant sector and studied under esteemed winemakers. Currently, Andrew Carini continues to own and operate the winery, overseeing all aspects of production alongside his wife, Shawnee. Situated in Hayfork, California, Carini Winery is a boutique operation dedicated to crafting small-lot, vineyard-designated wines. Emphasizing traditional techniques and minimal intervention, the winery produces 100% varietal wines that authentically express their vineyard origins. The hands-on approach involves meticulous processes such as pre-fermentation cold maceration, extended fermentation periods, and aging in French oak barrels. This commitment to quality and authenticity reflects the Carini family's enduring legacy in winemaking.
